Adam is a highly skilled financial professional with a unique background in technology implementation and a deep understanding of long-term financial strategies. As the founder and President of Primetrics, he acts as a CFO and CIO advisor to small and mid-sized companies, helping them to grow their businesses by establishing automation and business process optimization tools. This approach frees up internal resources to focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, positioning companies to scale profitability and realize higher returns on the same volume of sales.

Adam's expertise is in high demand, and he has assisted a wide variety of companies throughout his career. For example, he has helped cryptocurrency-based businesses account for their transactions and provide much-needed tax compliance and financial reporting capabilities. He has also advised pet product companies on how to capitalize on turning raw materials from Montana's agri-businesses into high-value-added pet products. Additionally, Adam has synthesized operational data from a renewable energy company to provide a big-picture road map to profitably operate in the next era of sustainable energy.

In addition to his work with Primetrics, Adam is also a business mentor for the Portland Incubator Experiment (PIE) and Built Oregon. Both organizations provide a network of peers and guidance to company founders seeking connections, advice, and guidance in running their businesses. This is a testament to Adam's natural leadership abilities and his ability to mentor accounting professionals and staff within his client companies.

Adam's career has been marked by a steady progression of roles and responsibilities, from audit and compliance to accounting and information technology. Prior to founding Primetrics, he worked for Northwest Natural for over 8 years, rising to the Director of Internal Audit Services. In that role, he was responsible for operational and financial compliance and internal control activities. Before that, Adam's first foray into entrepreneurship was as a joint venture owner of Quantec LLC, a firm which was sold to the Cadmus Group. His career began with a solid accounting foundation, working as a Senior Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers for four years, gaining experience in cybersecurity and as a public company auditor.

Adam is a well-educated professional, holding a Masters of Professional Accountancy (1999) from The University of Montana, an Executive Certificate (2011) from Willamette University, and a BA in Economics (1998) from the University of Montana. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Oregon (issued 2001) and holds a Blockchain Fundamentals for Accounting and Finance Professionals Certificate (issued 2021) from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA).

Adam is a dedicated member of his local community, serving as a Member of the Supervisory Board for the Holy Redeemer Parish – North Portland, and as a Board Member for In My Backyard (Simone Weil Catholic Worker House), an organization working to alleviate poverty.

When he is not focused on numbers and growing businesses, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, bike racing, and hiking/camping in the greater northwest. With his unique background, expertise and passion for mentoring, Adam continues to provide valuable guidance to companies and entrepreneurs, helping them to achieve their goals and realize their full potential.

Mike is an Indiana native, now residing on the beautiful Oregon coast after moving here from Arizona where he worked in environmental compliance, financial analysis, and benefits management. His passion for the field is reflected in his work, where he emphasizes the importance of investing in people alongside investments in the business.

While working full-time, Mike prepared and passed the CPA exam earning his CPA certification in 2012. He has spent the last few years working in his own practice. Fast forward to now, Mike joins the Primetrics team as a Fractional CFO, supporting business owners in several fields starting with in-depth financial analysis, pinpointing KPIs, and creating strategic plans for businesses to be successful.
Where does Mike’s interest in accounting stem from? Believe it or not, Mike began his studies as a science major earning his undergrad in chemistry, and it was not until later in his respective field of work, he realized accounting is where he would go on to excel. So, he enrolled at the University of Phoenix to earn his MBA.
While Mike is very busy with his work, he does have free time where he enjoys fly fishing or sharing a moment away from the world through reading. Besides those two passions of his, he says living on the coast has its perks as he appreciates the beautiful view while he supports Indiana University’s football team on a Saturday afternoon.
Aline is a Portland native whose love for accounting emerged during her time working for a local small business. In her role, it was necessary for her to wear many hats and work closely with the company's president. This opportunity enabled her to learn and participate in multiple facets of the company. Being immersed in the day-to-day aspects of the business allowed her to recognize many opportunities for improvement. She is most proud of her work to optimize a complex delivery workflow and the profits it yielded. Being able to add value to the business motivated her to continue seeking opportunities to have a positive impact. As a result of her experiences, Aline accepted a financial manager position at a large multinational non-profit organization. While in this role, Aline worked on administering federal grants, providing technical assistance to other organizations, and helping establish new processes, all while working for a cause she was passionate about. Aline is always searching for opportunities to learn and add value wherever she goes. Aline enjoys hiking in the pacific northwest, personal fitness, and spoiling her dog, Reggie.

Brittany is an aspiring accountant who is motivated by the belief that the work that she does can help others. Staff Accountant by day and student by night, it’s exciting for her to see how her schooling and work benefit each other. She was first exposed to accounting by her mother and realized that she wanted to pursue it as a career while assisting the accounting department at a local real estate company where she developed a background in real estate transactions and financing. Before her work in real estate, she was an office manager for a physical rehabilitation services company where she prided herself in providing excellent customer service and enjoyed the complexity of medical billing. She later had the opportunity to train new staff, develop policies and procedures for the outpatient division, and was responsible for creating the department’s training reference manual.

Brittany spent her formative years in Salt Lake City, Utah where she fell in love with the Wasatch mountains, so it was natural for her to gravitate toward Mt. Hood upon moving to Oregon in 2012. She loves hiking, snowboarding, and running with her Doberman pinscher.

Erik is new to the Pacific Northwest. Over the past year, he's been a weekend warrior exploring new trails, snowboarding up on the mountain, or enjoying a fun competitive game of volleyball. All in all, Erik loves sports and the outdoors. He's always up for a friendly competition.

Abby’s introduction to the accounting industry began with a game of pennies in a class at Clatsop Community College. From there, she excelled in the field. After transferring to Western Oregon University, she received her bachelor’s in Business with a concentration in accounting and a minor in legal studies. In 2022, Abby was named the top accounting student at Western and valedictorian of the Business and Economics division. Abby tells us the genes come from her dad who was a CPA. More so, she tells us, a large part of her success comes from her faith and God being at the center of her life. Now, as a staff accountant at Primetrics, she performs multiple tasks from bank reconciliations, to accounts payable and receivable, cryptocurrency accounting, and more.
Outside of the accounting world, Abby is an artist at heart. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to sell greeting cards to local shops and create artwork for a non-profit in Nevada. While Abby’s love for art is still there, she’s now an avid chess player.
